The retreat starts on Thursday 28 October at 17:00hr with a warm welcome followed by a lovely meal and a mellow evening yoga-class. It ends on Sunday 31 October at 17:00hr after a delicious lunch and an afternoon program with a closing yoga-session.

The retreat includes morning and early evening Yoga Sessions, a Mindfulness Meditation Workshop, and a wonderful silent meditative walk through the fields and forests of the Achterhoek. Truly wonderful, healthy vegetarian & biological meals, and free-time in the afternoon to do what you want:  take a rest, go for a walk, read a book, or relax and renew with your yogi friends!

ImageThe Yoga

We will have 2 Yoga Sessions per day. In the morning we will have an active, invigorating yoga session of 2.5 hours. In the early evening we will have a more mellow, slow down & relax, restorative session of 1.5 hours.

The Yoga Sessions will be Vinyasa style and holistic; we will include Physical Postures (Asanas) in combination with Breathing Exercises (Pranayama), Meditation (a Mindfulness Workshop is included in this retreat!), and also Yoga Philosophy and chanting of Mantras.

Every day of the mini retreat will have a special theme! On day 1 (Friday), we will work on letting go, leaving our pasts behind, acceptance, and surrendering to what is. On day 2 (Saturday) we will rinse, squeeze, and detox our bodies and mind, and on day 3 (Sunday) we will open our hearts to new futures! Let Go, Cleanse and Renew!

We will accommodate ALL LEVELS yoga practitioners. For beginning and less advanced students we will demonstrate modified postures, and will have blocks and belts available to support the postures.

All sessions and workshops will be taught bi-lingual (Dutch/English).

Mindfulness Meditation Workshop
The mini retreat includes a Mindfulness (Vipassana) Meditation Workshop on Friday, setting up a foundation for your meditation practice during the rest of the weekend (and back home!).

ImageAccommodation - The Farmhouse Retreat Centre

We will stay in a very nice, warm and friendly farmhouse, that has been re-build into a small and cozy retreat centre for groups. It is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Achterhoek, near Winterswijk. The farmhouse retreat centre is characterized by its peace and quietness, space, loving attention, simplicity, and beautiful nature surroundings and tranquil setting.

ImageImageImageIt has a beautiful yoga space with a heated floor and windows and doors that open to the garden. A lovely dining room and cozy living room. All bed- and bath rooms are shared. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and allow enough personal privacy.

There is a lovely garden with a nice terrace and a half-open barn, under which you can find some shelter to sit.

The farmhouse retreat centre can host a maximum of 21 people, and there is only 1 group at the time, so we will have the complete centre to ourselves!

The Food

As on all YogaYatra retreats we will pay special attention to the food. Along with all the Yoga and Meditation that we will do, Judith Koning of Koningsmaal is joining us for 3 days to further nourish our souls with lovely meals, prepared with love and attention. All natural food (vegetarian and biological) and served to us in a beautiful atmosphere.

Retreat Costs

All rooms are shared.

The costs for the retreat are € 390 all inclusive, except for your transport to the retreat centre, which you need to arrange yourself.

The costs of the retreat include:

  • all yoga and meditation sessions as described above, including a Mindfulness Meditation Workshop (see “The Yoga” and “Retreat Schedule & Yoga Activities”)
  • accommodation for 3 nights and 3 days (based on a shared room)
  • 3 wonderful, healthy, vegetarian & biological meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • tea, coffee, and fruits available whole day
  • beddings (beddengoed & lakenset)

Not included are:

  • the transport/travel to the retreat centre and back home which you need to arrange yourself
  • your personal insurance which you need to take care of yourself, e.g. travel & health insurance, cancellation insurance (annuleringsverzekering), and liability insurance (aansprakelijkheidsverzekering, in case you e.g. damage something at the retreat centre for which you will be personally liable)
  • extra food, drinks and snacks you may take while on group outings or own organized trips and excursions
  • other optional outings and activities
  • towels  – please bring your own!
  • yoga mat – please bring your own yoga mat. If you do not have a yoga mat of your own, or you do not want to bring it, you can rent a mat from us at an additional cost of € 10 for the 3 days. You need to pay this to us cash (and the exact amount) at the retreat centre when you arrive.

Winterswijk is to be reached by train from the direction Zutphen or Arnhem.
From Winterswijk you can take a regiotaxi for only a few Euro’s: Regiotaxi Gelderland

By Car from the direction Aalten (N318):
When reaching the village (bebouwde kom) of Winterswijk at the first roundabout go right in the direction of Oeding (N319). This is the Rondweg Zuid.
This road turns into the Kottenseweg and you follow this road for about 6 km until you will have the Bekeringweg on your left side. In the meantime you have passed the sign Winterswijk Kotten.
Drive into the Bekeringweg and follow this road until the first crossing.
At this crossing you go left into the Vosseveldseweg and follow this road.
The Rekelershof is the first farm on your right side (the name Rekelershof is written on a white wooden fence just before the barn). You pass the farmhouse and barn. Just after the barn there is a little road to the right, this leads to the parking place. You have arrived!

By Car from the direction Groenlo (N319):
When reaching the village (bebouwde kom) of Winterswijk at the first roundabout go right in the direction of Aalten (N319). This is the Rondweg West. Follow this road until the 2nd roundabout. Here you go left in the direction of Oeding. Then you are at the Rondweg Zuid.

The retreat starts on Saturday afternoon at 13:00hr with a warm welcome followed by a delicious lunch, and ends on Saturday morning 11:00hr after breakfast and an early morning yoga session.

The retreat includes morning and early evening yoga sessions, a Detox Yoga Workshop and a Mindfulness Meditation Training, a day boat trip to the beautiful island of Port-Cros or Porquerolles in the Mediterranean sea for a wonderful silent meditative walk through nature reserves and yoga sessions on silvery beaches, satsangs (gatherings) under the canopy at the pool to talk with Corine about yoga philosophy and spiritual subjects. Truly wonderful, healthy vegetarian & biological meals, and free-time in the afternoon to do what you want: being lazy at the pool, getting a massage in the nearby hammam, reading a book in the shadows of the garden (the villa leaves plenty of space if you need some privacy!), going for a walk (the surrounding hills and coastal area are beautiful!), going to the beach, visit one of the beautiful medieval arts & crafts villages in the area, go horse-back riding, or biking… So many things to do and pamper yourself! Such a beautiful place!

The retreat will have an exclusive & intimate character, we aim to make the group not too large (12 people max), so there is enough privacy for everyone, and there is enough time and space for you to develop and enhance your own personal yoga practice with Corine’s fullest attention!

In other words… we will make sure you will leave the retreat completely energized, relaxed, and renewed, with a fully enriched yoga practice!

Image1 Day Boat Trip to the beautiful, serene Island of Port-Cros or Porquerolles (Les îles d’Or)
One day of the retreat (we will pick the day with the best weather conditions!) will be spend with the whole group on a 1 day boat trip to the beautiful Island of Port-Cros or Porquerolles in the Mediterranean sea, for a beautiful silent meditative walk through nature reserves and yoga sessions on serene silvery beaches!

The islands of Port Cros and Porquerolles (Les îles d’Or) and the surrounding off-shore areas are a “Parc National” (nature reserve). The islands are an enchanting mix of green and blue, the forest and the sea…and have pleasant 1-5 hours hikes on well documented trails. Sandy, silvery beaches with emerald green water… A protected paradise!

Mindfulness Meditation Training
The retreat includes a Mindfulness (Vipassana) Meditation Training starting at the beginning of the retreat, setting up a foundation for your meditation practice during the rest of the week (and back home!). We will practice both sitting and walking meditation.

Detox Yoga Workshop
One morning will be spend on Corine’s very popular and highly effective Detox Yoga Workshop for an intense, transformative purification and revitalization of your whole body, and mind! In that case we will start our morning yoga session earlier / end later.

Satsangs (gatherings) under the Canopy
During the retreat there will be a couple of satsangs (gatherings) under the canopy at the pool to talk with Corine about yoga philosophy and spiritual subjects. The satsangs will take place at the end of the afternoon before the early evening yoga sessions.

ImageAccommodation - The Villa

We will stay in a characteristic French Riviera style, luxurious villa with a charming view of the St. Tropez Bay and the surrounding hills. The villa is located within private grounds including a beautiful garden with plenty of shades and a private swimming pool.

The villa is suited for a maximum of 10 people; it has 5 bedrooms based on 2 people sharing (boxspring beds are provided with cloth, pillows and eider-downs, all bedrooms have a wardrobe), 3 bathrooms, a living room and a well equipped kitchen. Not to forget the beautiful balconies and terraces the villa has with amazing views over the bay and hills!

The villa has all the extra comforts you need, like wireless internet access, a flatscreen & DVD/video player (so you can bring your favorite inspirational DVD’s you might want to share!), a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing-board for if you need to do some washing.

ImageThe swimming pool area and the terrace next to the house, are perfect for our outdoor yoga sessions, and the villa also has an indoor yoga studio should the weather be a bit chilly!

The South of France has a Mediterranean climate, excellent Summers, beautiful Autumn and Spring, and soft Winters. The area of St. Tropez is famous for even better weather circumstances and has 300 days a year sunny weather! Most of the time there is the ponant wind, which follows the direction of the sun. The mistral is a stormy north-west wind bringing dry and clear blue sky. The villa is well-protected against this mistral. In April the weather regularly is warm & sunny, with temperatures about 21-23 degrees Celsius, so perfect (not too hot!) for our outdoor activities like yoga and hiking. Note these are average temperatures, in the sun it can get a whole lot warmer! So bring both your bathing suit, but also something warm for the evenings.

The timings of the retreat are based on the very attractively priced KLM flight from AMSTERDAM to NICE, which departs from AMSTERDAM on Saturday 10 April at 09:35hr and arrives at NICE at 11:40hr, and on Saturday 17 April it departs from NICE at 13:50hr and arrives in AMSTERDAM at 16:00hr.

For these flights we have arranged a group transfer to pick you up on Saturday morning the 10th at Nice airport to bring you to the villa, and on Saturday morning on the 17th we will bring you back to the Nice airport.

Retreat Costs

The costs for the retreat are € 1175 all inclusive, except for the flight to Nice, which you need to book yourself.
